Anna Kemble Welch

Anna has been the part time Director of DEBRA NZ since 2001, planning annual conferences, camps and events, organizing and fundraising for the DEBRA Nursing Service and other DEBRA projects.

She is also the current President of DEBRA International, a network organisation for DEBRA groups in over 40 countries.

Anna is a registered Architect with her own practice, Red Design: Architects. Red Design specialises in houses, bachs, projects for the elderly and people with mobility issues, and urban design schemes. These all have a high design content and an environmentally-friendly twist.

Projects Officer

Martin Hanley

Martin has been the voluntary DEBRA NZ projects officer since 1985.

Martin is a part time Lecturer in Architecture at Victoria University, Wellington, and the Disability Support Officer for the Te Aro Campus. He is also a partner in Red Design.

Anna and Martin live in Wellington and their son Humphrey has Recessive Dystrophic EB. For many years they have been tirelessly raising public awareness of EB and helping DEBRA New Zealand develop into a very effective organisation.
